Christmas gifts, as well as learning some relevant skills at the ‘Welcome to Christmas’ event. Those of us who went on the
‘Turkey and Tinsel’ will have been well-immersed in the Christmas spirit already.After such a busy month – time to relax.
As usual, there will be mince pies and tea or coffee afterwards.
By now, you should have had your annual meetings and I hope that all officers (new and old!) are settling in happily. I’m sure that
you are aware that every help possible is available and, to this end, would welcome you to attend the Officers’ Training Day at
I must pass on congratulations to Llwydiarth WI which celebrated its 90th Anniversary this year and thank their members for their
generous hospitality to some lucky Board Members, present and past, who were regaled with a delicious tea and songs.

CAROL SERVICE: I hope you enjoyed the Carol Service on 4th Dec at Welshpool Methodist Church. A special thanks to all who took
part in the service, a fitting and festive start to our celebration of Christmas.
OFFICERS WORKSHOPS for President, Treasurer and Secretaries Sat 27th Jan. Abermule Community Centre. An opportunity for
new officers and any interested members to come together to learn, discuss and share ideas. Coffee at 9.30am, workshops start at
10am until 12.30, followed by a light lunch prepared by committee members. Workshops are free but numbers and any dietary
requirements are required for catering. Booking form enclosed.
My thanks to WI's who answered our questionnaire in the November Mailing about further workshops/Trips etc you would be
interested in. It’s not too late for WIs to respond.
JIGSAW RACE. Wed 21st Feb 7pm at Adfa Village Hall. Come and join us for a fun evening hosted by Adfa and Cefn Coch WI.

SPRING SHOW Sat 11th May 2024 at Abermule Community Centre. I hope you have all had time to look at the schedule and
maybe start working on your entries over the winter months. Entries into the Office by 29th March. Please note: the Federation
will NOT be entering the NFWI Wales Competitions at the Royal Welsh Show in 2024.
Knit and Knatter– there will be no more sessions this year but we hope to start again in 2024.

Christmas spirit.

form. The Federation arrange a varied programme of events, workshops and trips. We are seeking your suggestions….
What are your interests? What would you like to do? Where would you like to go?
Would you be interested in a short break? i.e. Craft, Sporting, Spa or Murder Mystery.
Also please consider any workshops you would like whether it’s help in running your WI assistance with recruitment or a new sport
or skill you would like to have a go at - crafts / gardening / flower arranging / Cookery etc. etc. …..
